SEMA 2015 wrap up with PitGarage LA.

Vegas

The lights, the weather, the Glitz and the Glam… SEMA 2015 has come and now gone. The team and I were fortunate enough to split up the work week here at @PITGARAGE_LA to attend the annual show at our leisure. To say that we had fun during our whole stay would be an understatement, factor in the extremely freezing weather (we’re Californian’s mind you) and it made taking in the whole show an ordeal once you catch the cold on your first night out… with only 4 hours to sleep… on what seems like a 48 hour day going into the trip… but hey, whats a VEGAS trip without coming back with some stories am I right?

Without having to get to much into the story telling up front, we would like to jump straight into some highlights of the show for us.

This green on this car posted at the House of Kolor booth is calling our name… maybe not much for you guys, but this serves as a reminder for us on a future project. Buddha Concept Designs, do you hear me?

During our stay at SEMA, we got to hang out with MAXX oil USA team to discuss some possible collaborations for the 2016 year. Assisting them during our walk and talk, we also had the pleasure of having the beautiful Lauren Smith by our side while they did some promotional work through the main halls where Acura had a beautiful display featuring a revamping of rapper LUDACRIS’ original owned Acura Legend pictured as followed. There’s a whole story about this featured on Acura.com, make sure you guys head over to check it out for those interested.

To the right of the Legend (pun intended), we have an exhibition ILX in a beautful colorway…

…following close to the left of it, one that we’ve truly been waiting to see, the all new Acura NSX with this blue hue that was definitely an eye catcher. The NSX demo video they had on display only fuels the desire for the fan base to see this out on the streets and in action already. Honda, “the power of dreams.”

Like the drink this shares its name with, first impressions are always smooth… the kicker is definitely when attempting to push it to your limits. The engineering behind the Hennessy Venom is mind blowing.

Engineering Gold, this is what happens when successful planning, hard word, and goals come together. Congratulations to the Rywire camp for this one. Bringing out Honda’s past to compete with the big boys and taking the crown. We can’t wait to see what this Genuine Integra Type R can do in competition.

Japanese Vintage vehicles have a soft sport in our hearts no doubt about it, but when fused with modern technology? Purist or not, we definitely love it even more when power and reliability is a contributing factor. Take for example this simple and clean Datsun Roadster 2000…

…or this wild Datsun trunk appropriately named the Hakotora for reasons that should be self explanatory at this point.

One of the most talked about cars of the venue this year, if this were a debate between teenagers, was the introduction of the V2 Boss kit from Rocket Bunny and AutoFashion USA definitely brought the heat this year with their LS powered BOSS14. How do you improve aesthetically on an already flawless kit and car? Leave it up to the Buddha Concept and Autofashion USA guys to show you how to.

As stated early in the post, catching a cold and walking outside was a pain. The consistent climate change and random bursts of rain gave me a run for the worst but that’s expected when sleep is non existent, but hey, we’re professionals after all right? Whats a Vegas trip without the headaches and whats a little sleep to the bigger picture in which we bleed. Sema 2015 is a wrap and as much as I complained at the time… I wouldn’t change it for the world. Cheers to friends new and old. I can’t wait to show you what we brought back with us on this trip as far as plans to build towards the future. The Aftermarket and Automotive scene is still moving strong despite what people say and i’m so happy to still be here as a team to see it out and continue to grow.Talk is one thing, time to execute them… while finding a little break in between the drive back to have some fun.
